The latest and whats to become...

Last weekend  full of adventures starting off with a Pre CMA showcase:

I hosted a rare talent named Josh Langston check him out:

Josh Langston has a voice that carries through a room like a tornado with a cause. He will leave you with a hum that will run through your soul like never before, finding yourself with an addiction to the sound wailing from his music. His music stands for the everyday working man, lonely hearts, and the whiskey drinking part of everyone that loves music. He has a heart of gold determined to be heard. Cara Miller, owner of Radio Free Texas, says "Josh Langston has a way of painting a picture with lyrics... word crafting at it's finest. His razor sharp edge sets him aside from anything your ears can tune into on the radio. Josh landed on the Roots Music Report Chart for 43 consecutive weeks, standing 35 weeks in the top 10 with his “Ashes from Embers” album. He co-wrote “Pass me that Bottle” which reached 11 on the Texas Music Chart. Also his song “Take Me Back Home” reached 33 on the same chart. He has been number 1 on many request charts such as Radio Free Texas, and his song “Just Cause” cannot be extinguished on The Outlaw 92.5 in San Antonio, TX. He has been singing along side many artists both old school and on the rise, such as Ryan Bingham, Billy Joe Shaver, Hayes Carl, Charlie Robinson, and Jamey Johnson.

Often being called the Steve Earle of his time, his outlaw tune is not your typical commercial jingle lingering from Nashville. Although he has lived most of his life in Texas, it began in California, moving from state to state with his family as a child eventually finding his way back to Texas. Raised in a military household, Langston often rejected too much discipline. He learned to know trouble and his stubbornness combined with independence has provided him the basis for his songwriting. His songs are about what’s in your heart-- sometimes good, and other times, feelings we don’t want to admit out loud. His lyrics explode with feelings from tender to determination. His sound is pure outlaw, "channeling the revolution that Luckenbach begat”, as said by Cody Oxley of 11th Hour Magazine. And that’s who he is --the new bandit.

Life as I see It!

It's AMERICANA!
What a week of great music! I got myself to a few shows. Wednesday night I saw Raul Malo always a pleasure to hear his smooth voice and a chance to shake my hips. Frank was pouring the crown royal at the bar too! Thanks Frank! Great to run into old friends too!
Thursday night  I made it out to the Americans Awards what a line up! John Mellencamp, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Jack White ( Lalie's fav) & Wanda Jackson to list a few. I truly enjoyed the Carolina Chocolate Drops it was Bluegrass Rap are usually best quoted "That's Americana" by host Jimmy Lauderdale.

I got to the awards early and was greeted by Jim Lauderdale with a kiss in his Manuel suit now that's AMERICANA! lol! A special performance by Robert Plant was at the end for the audience guests that wasn't televised. He's quite a character I still can't forget him planning my trip at the shop and speaking how great my age was and finding Lauren Wray leapord bra in the dressing room thinking that was what he was trying on as we hadn't put his suit in the dressing room yet . What memories.  A double whammy for me they mentioned the NUDIE suit on the show too!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE:
The last few weeks have been amazing. I got more folks wanting to help with Rhinestone Cure. Mentions of getting Rhinestone Cure to go to Missisippi, New Oreleans and Washington DC. I'm so excited! In celebration of the events to come and the connections made we plan to throw a party November 7th at Belcourt Taps & Tapas: Havana style so get your fadoras & feathers ready! It's going to be smokin~

MAKING OF A BIG STARAs you may be all hearing I have been in the TCB mode! I'm extremely blessed and got lots of good going on. I'm in a making of my inner talent my voice. I always wanted to be a cartoon! I do voice overs, act, etc... Well it's all in the making in a huge sense be on the look out. I love that there are a lot of beleivers out there! AKA Professional Giggler and don't you forget it!
Once one of the big dreams get on full force you'll be seeing those undies, and various other products I'm working on and then the BOOK. I got lots to say and best quoted by my grandfather,"that little one  she's got that mouth and not afraid to use it!" LOL! Always voicing my Word/ Language aka MOISMS!

BEING HUMBLE!
When times get rough it seems we reach closer to our dreams! I have always been RICH at heart as to pocket but have been trying to learn new ways of life. For being a person who wasn't to ask for anything to start asking has been unusual but the surprize of YES's are grand! I'm truly loved! But even being loved there's pain and loneliness. I'm loving myself more & more each day and conquering my dreams but still remain Loyal to those I LOVE and thanks for loving me near & far...

Looking back to half price sparklin treasures...

Daddy's little girl and he's got the T -shirt to prove it!

Look at how suave he was back then and you thought getting ones attention was difficult then well just wait and see! Oh how the times have changed.

Speaking of change : one of the most reliable things in life if that! So much to learn, love & respect from one another. May your loyality be as strong as mine when adding a little sparkle into your life

My father, best known as a Rhinestone Remebrant but simply one named Manuel. He is a designer to the stars and then some but refers himself as a costume designer.

Personally speaking,I understand this clearly since dressing in costume at my home growning up was a norm of many great things to express yourself. Just as it is in his rhinestone creations. As a child I wore pants of every color with embriodered flowers, flames & M's on everything! Image that! I still have my rhinestone hankercheif bikini from being a child might not cover much at this time in life but a tresure I won't let go of.

And now you can too? That's for half the price for already made showroom pieces and dress like a Rhinestone Honkytonk Heiress such as myself...but just remember I got the birthmark to proof it! LOL!

The ideal way to go is custom for us "one of kind" folks, but the pieces in the shop are that as well but as is! And they must go to make room for some new spectular creations so get on it! Come on in and take a look don't be scared because we might be too nice

Also this Wednesday we got some cajun music in the shop at 2pm during that time you also can take on that special offer till the Tequila runs out we might change our minds!

~Storm 2010~Birthday plans~ Vacation time~Manuel's on the road?

What to do during the rain fall when you can't do much but stay safe at home. So what's a Rhinestone Diva to do?: I decided to fire up a CAO cigar and got my best friend into doing the same, for her first of many times to come. My BFF Laura was getting scared as the running rain water was rising no more then a block away from me.  She packed up her special things in her car and moved some furniture out of the way hoping nothing to be damaged and came to shelter with her cat Albert at the Rhinestone Honky-tonk Palace.

My little Hilbilly Bordello up on a hill had no water damamge but now I'm sensing the dampy and spoiled water smell now but over all the rhinestones are still safe & sound.

Laura's place is gettiing back in her Martha Stewart ways as her basement filled up to 10 feet of water with out damaging the inside but shes getting back in order some during the stress full time.

My father Manuel ~Rhinestone Remebrant had his bridge washed out but doesn't stop my dad from a days of work...as he would say, "The roads are beautiful!"

I saved a friend. Blake tried to check on Manuel as Lalie is getting new carpet, and thanks to Stacy McCloud, Ms Lauren Wray has adopted a flood outlaw kitty named Baby Maybe from Storm 2010. Over all here at the Manuel camp we are grateful and wish all those in need well!

Next on the charts ... Lalie reminded me today what's up with my birthday plans? Due that it is birthday month (May 30) it's celebration times oh yeah!

A pre -event is Brent Young's Wonderland on Friday May 21st also honoring my bday and proceeds to Rhinestone Cure. I'm dressing as the Queen ` go figure!

Rhinestone Cure's long awaited website is soon to be up with all the future details and events to come including the big event this fall. And future interviews too with "Laugh with Morelia"

As for my birthday I just might leave that in others hands....but as most know I might have to intervene...LOL!
I have no problem throwing or being apart of a party! whoo hoo!

Next in mind is a long deserved vacation. I have a feeling it's going to be a Manuel vacation on the road so be on the look out for what I'm up too!
